ECU Firmware Introduction
The SpartanLync GEN 3 ECU for Freightliner is the central electronic control unit for communication with SpartanLync TPMS sensors in a vehicle.
This page allows Freightliner service agents to perform a software update to the controlling firmware in these ECU devices.
Note: This ECU Firmware does not support SpartanLync TempTrac sensors
Freightliner ECU Flashing Requirements
The SpartanLync ECU Firmware Flashing requires the following
- Windows Computer / Laptop USB connected to a NexiQ 2 adapter
- 9-pin Deutsch Adapter cable (Standard 1 meter cable for use with USB-Link 2) plugged into Vehicle CAN
- Spartanlync ECU plugged into the same Vehicle CAN as NexiQ 2 adapter
- Vehicle turned on
Freightliner ECU Firmware Update Requirements
You should only update the ECU if it meets the following requirements
- Supplier Part Number: 110302020521
- SW version: V 1.1
- DTNA Part Number: 66-20640-000
